Randi Wines was established at the conclusion of World War II. The winery focuses on fairly unique, indigenous Italian varietals. The 2013 Blu di Bursôn is 100% Uve Longanesi grown in the IGT Ravenna of Emilia-Romagna. It is a relatively hardy varietal, resistant to fungal disease and frost. This wine is ruby red, with excellent visual transparency. Intensely fruity and floral, with grassy perfume aromas, filled with cherry, plum, grass and licorice. The wine is well balanced, and has wonderful natural acidity and mellow tannins. Pair with pappardelle with rabbit, farmer thigh of turkey and stewed wild boar. Aged 12 months in steel tanks and a minimum of 12 months in bottle.
