From Italy's northern Lombardy region comes this beautiful Franciacorta, the most elegant of all Italian sparkling wines. The winery's philosophy is characterized by an ongoing search for excellence, and several features of their location favor this ambitious aspiration: poor yet varied soil in the vineyard; north-west facing vines, allowing late grape ripening, and the single cru status of the vineyard. This sparkling, produced in the champagne method, is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, spending 21 months on the lees. The color is a light straw yellow, with greenish reflections. Fine, continuous perlage, with a persistent good dense foam. The bouquet is rich, strong and fine, with ripe fruit aromas (pineapple, red apple and winter pear), cherry and goji and white citrus flavors. On the palate the wine is expressive and well-balanced, soft and with a balanced acidity. Persistent and long after-taste which confirms the smell sensations, along with nutty red fruit and yellow flower notes, which blend to a pleasant vanilla sensation. Sustainably produced.
