Pelter Winery, one of Israel's most highly regarded, was established in 2001 by brothers Tal and Nir Pelter. They currently produce over 150,000 bottles annually: kosher, not kosher and spirits. The 2015 Unwooded Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards in the Golan Heights and Jerusalem Hills. Grapes were whole bunch pressed, which allows for minimal skin contact. Grapes fermented for 3 weeks, then racked, followed by cold and heat stabilization and filtration. Three months aging in stainless steel tanks. The wine is characterized by tropical flavors (apple/banana) and a lasting finish. This wine is not kosher.
